SCLEROTHERAPY

Sclerotherapy is a non-surgical treatment, requiring only an injection to eliminate varicose veins and spider veins. The treatment usually reduces the pain and swelling associated with varicose veins. The result is healthy, beautiful skin that is free of unattractive vein networks.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What Are the Benefits of Sclerotherapy?

This treatment eliminates varicose veins and spider veins, which are caused by swollen and twisted veins. These veins lose their capacity to prevent the backflow of blood, thus interfering with healthy blood circulation. Varicose and spider veins are commonly found in the legs and can cause swelling, aching, and even blood clots. They appear as unattractive bulging networks of damaged veins under the skin. Sclerotherapy eliminates the appearance of these veins, leaving behind clear, healthy skin. This non-surgical treatment also reduces the associated side effects of varicose veins such as pain, burning and swelling.

When Will I Start Seeing Results?

Full results usually appear 4 to 6 weeks post-treatment, depending on the client’s age and severity of their condition.

How Long Do the Results Last?

The results are generally permanent. In cases with deeper vascular issues, however, the veins can sometimes resurface. Multiple treatments are sometimes required.

Does This Treatment Hurt?

The non-surgical treatment involves a simple injection into the damaged vein network. Aside from a small pinch felt by injecting the ultra-thin needle, the treatment should not have significant pain.

There is no post-treatment downtime—you can return to your daily life immediately after treatment. Hot baths, saunas, sunbathing, heavy exercise and prolonged standing or sitting (such as long plane flights) should be avoided for 2-3 days.

Is Sclerotherapy Safe?
